We founded Alma Project, our retail architecture and office interior design studio based in Barcelona, because we saw that many creative studios were designing to win awards and build their own reputation, forgetting that the real goal is to grow the client's business. The result was projects brilliant on paper but unviable in reality: overrun budgets and clients lost among dozens of suppliers with no one defending their interests.

After years of collaborating with international brands, we understood that architecture is not decoration; it's the first business argument. A well-designed space transforms the perception of a product, guides customer behaviour and turns every square metre into a sales tool. We also discovered that when design cares for health and wellbeing, it becomes the most profitable investment possible. That's why we integrate the WELL standard: not as a seal, but as the scientific confirmation that spaces that care for people secure the future of companies.

We act as our clients' external architecture department: a single global point of contact who takes full responsibility for the project so you can focus on leading your company. We don't believe in design detached from execution; that's why we lead the entire cycle, from the spark of the creative concept to the final handover of keys.

We master advanced disciplines such as Neuroarchitecture and Biophilic Design, and for clients seeking to elevate their commitment to wellbeing to the highest level, we offer the specialised WELL Certification service. As accredited experts, we optionally integrate these standards to design environments scientifically created to enhance the physical and mental health of those who inhabit them.

Alma Project is the synthesis of two international careers converging in a shared vision of architecture. Founded by Mariana Larentis (Porto Alegre, Brazil) and Alberto Medina (Barcelona, Spain), the studio was born as a space to channel extensive professional and personal experience gained in highly demanding markets.

After over a decade leading projects at every scale, they have built a team capable of understanding the cultural and technical particularities of each region. From our offices in Barcelona and Madrid, Mariana and Alberto lead a creative process that has transformed spaces in more than 20 countries, specialising in commercial, corporate and hospitality environments.
